Chain Wear Indicator

A worn chain shifts poorly and wears sprockets at an accelerated rate. The CC-3 is a "go, no go" gauge designed to accurately indicate when a chain reaches .75% and 1% wear, the points at which most chain manufacturers suggest replacement. Made from precision, laser cut steel. Fits derailleur and one speed chains including 9 and 10 speed.

Pros: Simplicity at its best. No springs and no way to read it wrong. If it fits it needs replacing. No questions asked.

Recommendation: Cheap enough that every home mechanic should have one.
