Description
The Deus seatpost sets the Standard for performance aluminum XC posts. It features an innovative, patented head design that offers maximum adjustability while minimizing weight.

? Low profile rail clamps with shorter bolts improves clearance for the riders legs.

? Forged & CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, the seatpost head is incredibly strong & fatigue resistant.

? Patented head design is lightweight & distributes loads more efficiently than conventional seatpost head designs.

? Offers unprecedented adjustability - with infinite tilt adjustment completely independent from the fore/aft adjustment.

? Side clamping rail system distributes loads to the clamp, rather than the bolt, virtually eliminating the possibility of broken bolts.

Model/Year: 2009

Pros: Easy adjustment
Independent adjustment of fore/aft and tilt
Light
Large diameter for strength

Cons: Doesn't help push me up the hills

Recommendation: Came with my new (to me) Giant Trance X2, and the first thing I noticed was the separate adjustment of tilt and location. That is a HUGE benefit and step up from my Truvativ seatpost on my Focus.

Definitely going to keep this piece around for as long as I can.

Pros: Great Design
Lightweight

Cons: None

Recommendation: The adjustment on this is key. You can adjust the angle separately from the position of the saddle. It is quite amazing. This also means when swapping saddles, there is no need to fiddle with the angle again.

Pros: Just like the Next SL this shares the same head which allows independant adjustment of the tilt and fore and aft movement.

Cons: none

Recommendation: You can find this on line for a great price and this seatpost works great, at 245g it is also really light.
