Pros: Durability and simplicity.

Cons: Weight (but who really cares about an extra 50 grams...)

Recommendation: I think this particular pedal is dirt cheap; I just got a new set from Jenson for USD $45.95. I've done about six thousand miles on Eggbeaters and about three thousand on Times. They are both good pedals but I lean toward Times. I think they are slightly easier to enter, and I don't like the fact that Eggbeater uses a bushing instead of bearings under the foot -- they just plain wear out. Also, if you bash an Eggbeater against a rock when pedaling they will usually release, which is really annoying when doing technical riding.

Pros: Lower profile than basic Shimano clip-ins
Strong
Not bulky

Cons: Different cleats than Shimano
Tough to get things to engage early on, may need to be broken in

Recommendation: These pedals came on the new (to me) bike. I picked up a set of cleats at a local bike shop and have put close to 30 miles on them so far. It is tough to get things clicked in, but that might just be new cleats needing to be broken in a bit. It may just be the setting the previous owner put them on, too.

Either way, I'm liking the pedals so far and definitely think I'll keep them around.

Pros: Quality vs price, easy in/out, 3 levels of spring adjustment, waterproof.

Cons: None yet. Maybe for those who care these pedals scratches easy in places of contact with shoe.

Recommendation: This is my very first clipless pedals, so it's hard for me to compare. So far I put a little over 50 miles with these pedals on snowy/icy trails and still like 'em :) Had no problems yet.
I've got a great deal on this pedals and shoes combo and didn't expected such a quality at that price. They're havier then other pedals but I don't care about extra 100 grams.
For me as a complete clipless newb was no problem to get in/out, a little foot play also help with control over bike. And it looks like this pedals built to last. Also there's 3 settings for spring adjustment. I'm still in the first one :)
Overall I would not hesitate to recommend these pedals to friend

Pros: Long lasting, easy to get in and out of, stay in when you want to stay in, take a beating, inexpensive but not cheap (quality wise)...

Cons: a little heavy, but I will take the trade off of being more dependable any day..

Recommendation: I have tried spd's, crank bros, and even speedplay frogs, these are the best all around pedals for a great price.. I am a Times fan from now on!

Cons: a little on th epricey side, but you get what you pay for on ike components...

Recommendation: I love Time pedals as I have had a pair of the original ATAC pedals for over 10 years. Of course that pair is on my bakup bike, but they still work flawlessley just like my "new" pair that are about 2 years old. The new ones have seen three completely new bikes and are the only dependable thing that comes off the old one and goes to the new one.
