Description
A helmet camera with video editing software. 15 fps, looks ok at home but DO NOT try and put the video on Youtube or somewhere else. Some small lighting issues and sometimes the mike randomly turns off but then comes back on. Comes with cables and a 32mb SD card. Go to Costco or Sam's and get a 2gb 2 pk so you can record a video longer than 6 minutes. Battery lif is decent, carry extras with you. Or, try some of those ridiculously long lasting batteries. Over all, I give it a four outta five.

Pros: easy to use, plug-n-play, cheap, easy to transfer video, self-contained

Cons: only 15fps, very jumpy video, poor quality, kinda heavy on the helmet, poor sound quality

Recommendation: If you're looking for an in-expensive gift or just a unit to record stuff for giggles this will work. Of course if you actually want to show off your video on a big screen or on the Internet...go for a higher-end helmet cam.

Pros: Small stand alone unit. Runs on 2 AAA batteries. Has sound and one button record. Mounts easily to helmets and even your bike if you like. This helmet cam is affordable and has decent quality for the price.

Cons: Not great in cool/cold weather, batteries seem to drain very quickly. Frame rate causes some jump or blurriness on fast or bumpy trails. It is not weather proof.

Recommendation: For the price - it is a good deal. For samples goto: http://www.subunit1.ca/videos or do a search on YouTube for 'subunit1 mountain biking'.
