Description A lightweight hydroformed 7005 Double Butted Alloy frameset helps keep the weight down and the price tag reasonable. Alloy Scales have the same World Cup XC proven geometry as carbon models.
Pros: This machine climbs like you will not believe! I'm 6'2" 258 and can climb more technical and steeper hills than I could ever dream of on my Trek or Nishiki. Disc brakes are plenty adequate even for my size. I had read a lot about this frame prior to purchase, it has MORE than lived up to all expectations.
Cons: I'm considering switching out for a better fork soon. The Tora 302 is OK, but this would be the only possible weakness of this bike.
Recommendation: Don't wait as long as I did to get into the $1200 price range! If I had ridden this bike some of the places I rode when I lived in Washington state, OMG what a better rider I would be now!
