Pros: works/shifts well, held up to this rock that bent one of the sprokets

Cons: nothing

Recommendation: if you have to up grade this is a good choice for a $$$, went from 3 disc to a 2 disc with no problems

Pros: shifts smoothly
Fits my particular frame style where a bottom swing won't fit
dual pull is convenient

Cons: body is a little wide, front - back, can potentially hit my frame if I bottom out the supension, which hasn't happened yet

Recommendation: On some full suspension frames this is the only type of derailleur that will fit.
On this model, the weight is decent as compared to the MUCH more expensive XTR, shifting is crisp and the dual pull setup is very convenient, as are the included shims that fit multiple seat post diameters.

Pros: shifts crisply, very little noise when set up correctly, shimano has many models to suit every bike out there

Cons: none

Recommendation: This works great for anyone who rides. Very little play in the unit so once you have it set up this works flawless.
