Model/Year: 2010

Pros: - Keeps chain on and does its job
- Minimal resistance
- Rear guide plate is sturdy and well made
- Came with a BB ISCG 05 adapter

Cons: - Requires the use of a bashguard in order to work properly
- Polycarbonate bashguard is bulky and shows wear very easily
- Difficult to setup without any rubbing

Recommendation: I ended up buying the FSA guide out of necessity, and would have preferred to buy something else. However, I was impressed with the finishing of the metal pieces and the inclusion of a ISCG 05 BB adapter. As for function the guide kept the chain on and I never suffered a single dropped chain.

Setup took about the same time as any other guide, but it did slightly rub on the two outer gears. I also find the polycarbonate bashguard very ugly and quite bulky; not to mention it begins to look haggered within a couple of rides and/or strikes.

Although there were no major flaws in the FSA I would still recommend spending your money on a MRP G2, Straitline Silent guide or e*thirteen LS1 or SRS.
