Pros: Cheap. Flip flop design.

Cons: Terrible power. Tried different rotors and pads but still couldn't get the front to respond well.

Recommendation: If it comes OEM on your bike, replace quickly. Just doesn't instill confidence needed for a front brake.

Pros: Responsive. Comfort. Reliable. Inexpensive.

Cons: None

Recommendation: I have never had a problem with these brakes.First disc set up so little to compare to but they stop on a dime for 5 years so far. I ride mostly singletrack in the New York area.
