Description
Let's say you're building the perfect cross country, weight-weeny special, and you're looking for the perfect brake. Now, let's say you're building the quintessential all-mountain, all-day-ride machine, and you're looking for the perfect brake. And how about that freeride freakshow, or the single speed? What brake fits them all like a glove? The answer for all of them is the new Juicy Carbon. It's the right choice because it has such a powerful blend of all the most important attributes. The carbon fiber makes it strong and light. The fact that it's a Juicy makes it powerful, comfortable and a snap to install. Plus this year's refined design makes it drop-dead sexy and a huge 30 grams lighter than last year's model!

Pros: I run this brake with a 7inch rotor on the front. Very strong and highly customizable. Reach can be adjusted as well as pad engagement.

Recommendation: Great brake and can be found on ebay for super cheap now that the Elixirs are out.

Recommendation: This is my first expierence with Hydraulic brakes and I could'nt of picked a better set than these. I had a buddy install them and I have no rub or squeak after 80 miles. I purchased the 6" set F/R with G2's on Ebay for less than most shops sell one front or rear alone. These brakes work smoothly with plenty of stopping power.

Pros: As good as the Juicy 7 almost as good as ultimate. Good modulation

Cons: A bit short on power...Need a bit of work to get them perfect without noise

Recommendation: A great brake for most riding styles not recommended for Freeride or DH..Nice bling factor

Pros: Lighter than std Juicy 7.

Cons: Change out the rotors for larger G2 Clean Sweeps if the squeals persist

Recommendation: Avid juicys really are the best in my experience thus far. The Carb model has little difference from the 7 apart from the lever. If you're a bigger rider running long steep descents and are disconcerted by the squealing from the brakes, upgrade to larger rotors with adapters..solved my problem...G2 Clean Sweeps..take a little power out of the brake but all is cool and quiet
