Description
The brake that fits right in with the SRAM X9 family. The C in CR doesn?t actually stand for ?control,? but it might as well. With our unique TaperBore? Technology and optional carbon blade, the CR is lighter and more powerful than ever. With features that let you customize your ride, like tool-free Contact Point Adjustment and reach adjustment?as well as matching colors for X9 components?it takes seconds to turn our Elixir CR into your Elixir CR.

Pros: Decent power and good modulation all wrapped in one. Love the top loading pads making these brakes so much user friendly

Cons: None.

Recommendation: Compared to a few years back the new Elixir CR (X9) work so much better. The improved taper bore makes for a better modulating brake. The design of the carbon lever is comfortable in the hand and requires not too much force with a finger to bring the bike to a fast stop. For anything less than FR bike these will work fine with plenty of stopping power. the choice of 203,185,160mm will cover your style. I ended up using 185mm on the front and 160mm sized rotors on my 5.5" bike. Did I mention the reds look bling.
