Description
Designed to be used with your X-Type cranksets. Manufactured from high strength aluminum & featuring twice the number of ball bearings than our competitors, Race Face BB cups are also compatible with some Shimano and FSA external BB systems, making for a great upgrade.

? BB Cups are forged & CNC machined from 7050 aluminum.

? Features 35% more thread engagement & thicker walls than the XC/AM BB cups for greater durability in big-hit situations.

? Massive external bottom bracket cups house 35% larger ball bearings than internal systems, yielding vastly improved durability.

? In addition, bearings feature a special ?full-complement? construction. This doubles the amount of ball bearings in the cartridge & greatly increases it?s load carrying capacity.

? Bearings feature our new custom triple wiper seal to better retain grease & keep contaminants out and are factory filled with Phil Wood waterproof grease ? tested & proven to extend bearing life.

? Interchangeable with select Shimano and FSA external MOUNTAIN BB systems.

Model/Year: 68/73mm 2012

Pros: - Solid and super smooth
- Parts are easily accessible and serviceable
- Color

Cons: - Dust caps tend to come off if you install/uninstall your cranks a lot
- Dust caps break easily

Recommendation: A great bottom bracket that can take punishment from every day DH use. After thousands of cycles it is still spinning as smooth as new. Complimented by a very nice gold finish this BB can find a home on any build.

The dust caps are a tad fragile and will come out if the crank spindle is inserted quickly or with force. This is probably needed in order to make them serviceable.

Pros: Good quality bearings

Cons: Small insert of plastic that sometimes cracks.

Recommendation: The older versions had a small issue of cracking the lip of plastic that the cranks ran on and then generated movement but that was a few of them most are great and work well for a very long time...

Pros: Solid and smooth.

Cons: It is a bit heavier than your normal crank. The external part of it makes it a bit unique in regards to it still being refered to as an ISIS crankset, but nothing to be concerned about.

Recommendation: This crankset is great. I would recommend it for any hardcore XC, AM, FR, DH.
