Mid Atlantic Super Series Information - For 2012 the MASS will be a USA Cycling (USAC) sanctioned series for XC races. MASS Beginner classes will now be known as Category 3 (Cat 3), Sport will be known at Category 2 (Cat 2) and Expert will be known as Category 1 (Cat 1). All Category 1 classes will require a USAC annual Cat 1 mountain license. This includes the Elite Mens and Elite Womens classes. Our elite classes will be designated as Pro/Cat 1 Men and Pro/Cat 1 Women. Any racer holding a Pro USAC mountain license must race these categories. You will not be permitted to race any Cat 1 or elite class without an annual Cat 1 or Pro license. Cat 2 and Cat 3 classes do not require an annual license. In order to be entered into the MASS series competition participants must register for the series and be assigned a series plate number on BikeReg. There is no charge to register for the series. The MASS series registration is seperate from individual race registration. Any questions on this please contact support@masuperseries.com.

The Summer Showdown at Bear Creek will once again be the site of the MASS finals. Come on out and race on our technical course. As always, we will introduce some never before seen trail to this years race.

The race is only half the fun at the Summer Showdown. We will once again have live music playing on the deck. The now world famous EWR Kids World Champipnship and Strider-Cross race will once again take place in the base area!

Bear Creek will be the host site of the 2013 and 2014 USA Cycling National Championships!
